PBL Post 1: My Introduction to the Blogosphere

So my journey into the world of blogging officially begins, I guess. I honestly never thought that I would get into blogging, mainly because I have never been the kind of person to divulge my thoughts and feelings out in public. A personal journal for reflection is one thing but a public journal adds a whole new dimension - and maybe that's alright.
After making progress through the first couple weeks of the PBL course, I can see some of the benefits in taking up blogging, especially if there is some interaction with peers who have similar interests and goals as you. From what I've gathered thus far, project-based learning is a process, one that involves a lot of initial planning on the teacher's part and some collaboration to help benefit the student and really make the projects a success. A blog like this one, which will include some critiquing from some outside eyes, will be beneficial for bouncing project ideas off of and may possibly lead to some project collaboration in the future.
PBL has become quite intriguing to me after the first few weeks of class. I have begun to have thoughts and ideas bounce in and out of my head as I read and go through material and I am constantly trying to figure out how to make some of these ideas work in my class/school. I'm interested in learning about more resources/tools/ideas and ways I can use them in my classroom...

... until next time, I've also joined an online community to help me throughout this PBL process.  The site I joined is Classroom 2.0. I am interested to see some of the conversation about how to use the web in projects.
